When crusiing down the highway or maintaining a speed where the rpms are anywhere between 2000 - 2500 rpms the motor jerks.. almost feels like a misfire, but I know its not. any suggestions?
i think i know what you are talkin about but mine does it more when cruising at lower speeds say in like 2nd and 3rd gear. the entire car jerks forwards. not sure if its the same exact problem i have cause i think mine is more tranny/rear end related
I went from AODE to a tremec and now mine does the same thing. I changed nothing else other then a conversion. I even bought the tranny harness to see it that would help with no luck. I am wondering if I need a computer from a manual car.
This is usually (90% of the time) a tune up issue. Check your wires, plugs, cap and rotor and fuel filter. It is almost certain that this problem is there.
same problem except mine is under 1900....I was gonna just throw on an egr delete and see if that helps but where can I buy a cap for the header/egrtube opening? and same question on the sensor delete.....
Finding fitting to cover the egr on the header is a pain. I took my headers to the hardware store and found nothing. I ended up going to local store that makes hoses and steel lines and sells all the fittings for them. The only thing that they could find to fit was a hydraulic line fitting. I had to take that cut it in half and weld up the hole on top of the fitting.
well my cap, rotor, all my filters, plugs, wires and many many of my sensors have been changed in the past 3 months. im hoping its not my egr cause i need to keep it for emissions. ill maybe try to find a way to "delete" it for the time being but not so i cant get it back together when i need it
yeap mine does the same thing between 1000-2000rpms if i only have like 50%or below the throttle open and only when the engine is cold, it jerks around unless i smash on the gas then it snaps out of it or if i turn the o/d off to keep the car at higher than 2000 rpms
