The original mounts on my 68 were looking cracked so I got mounts from the local parts house. After jacking up the motor and taking off a mount, I tried to put in a new one. It is 5/8" taller and causes the fan to push against the fan shroud and does not allow the hood to close due to air cleaner interference. Then I got another set from NPD. Same thing! What am I doing wrong? Many Thanks.

There is a tall and short mount. Did you specify convertible? What # are the mounts you tried?

NPD and the parts house do not differentiate between tall and short as far as I can tell. Who would I get the "short" mounts from? Thanks.

The part number that I ordered was 6038-7. The catalog does not show a different mount for a convertible, and that is what I have. Thanks again.

Uh Oh. Even Pioneer has stopped making the converetible motor mounts. Has anyone out there successfully used another type of mount in a 67-70 convertible? TIA.
