Motor mounts 69s in a 67

I have a 67 w a 351w. I am wondering if I can use 69 w or c upper motor mounts with my 67 frame mounts. The object is to lower the engine. Now I have the earlier 289/302 mounts and want more hood clearance. It looks like it lowers the engine .75 to 1 inch. Are the frame mounts spaced the same? This would be a simple, inexpensive mod. Mustangs Unlimited calls it a low motor mount.

Some may argue with me here, but '67 mounts are unique unless someone has swapped them, and '66 and '68+ upper mounts don't fit (at least not easily)the '67 frame mount.

Early '65 mounts do lower the engine about .75". I just swapped back to them in my '65 for my MC bar and export brace to clear the EFI stuff I installed. I actually had '67 mounts I pulled out of a swap yard, before I realized they don't fit well.
