Before I get flamed for asking this question I just want to say I really did do a search but couldn't find the answer. In regards to the shaker 500 system how should mp3's be tagged or burned on the disk so that all the info displays correctly on the window for things like artist, track and album name. I does show the top folder name but not the folders under it? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

set the meta tags correctly in the source mp3 files before burn. to display track, artist, or album on the shaker, follow the instructions in the owners manual.

The shaker will only accept 1 layer of folders. It will see subfolders as a completely separate folder, independant of the folder it may be inside. I.E...if you have 14 main folders and 2 subfolders within each main folder on the disc, and all contain music, the Shaker will show as 42 (14 main + 28 subfolders) folders in total.

I do have the meta tag files set on all my music and I understand that the shaker will treat subfolders as main folders regardless but it still remains that I can't get the darned artist track name and album title to show. The owners manul is pretty useless on explaning the features of the system as far as I can tell. I will try to burn only single layer folders and see if that helps

I do hit the text button. I am tagging the files through music match and I then burn the disk with nero and the folders are only one level since I like to keep the music in an album folder. Using the folder option on the radio I now get the name of the group and the album title but when you press the text key it still says No Artist, No Album and No title when I scroll through.

the name of the file of the mp3 song will be displayied on the shaker 500, so if u have a mp3 named song1.mp3 the shaker will display "song1" if the mp3 is named :09-the_notorious_b.i.g.-nasty_girl_(feat_diddy_nelly_jagged_edge_and_avery_storm).mp3
then it would be better renaming it to "The Notorious B.I.G. - Nasty Girl" or naming the folder The Notorious B.I.G. and the song to "Nasty Girl"
