A probe is not nearly as stable as a lowered cobra with a full suspension and wide sticky tires. I wouldn't go that fast in a probe either.

Belive it or not that probe handled alot better then most mustangs. They also came stock with 225/50/16's which is isnt that far off of a stock mustang tire. I wont drive my stang that fast or any car that fast for that matter its just ****ingn retarted

So, should racecar drivers limit their speeds to under 100 at the track?

A probe is no comparison to a stang, period. I feel more comfortable at 160 in my cobra than I did at 70 in my escort. I can drive 100 miles without ever seeing another car on the road I do my top speed runs.

If I can't go over 110 I'd better nail the brakes in the 1/4.

I mean ..... that last time I pulled a stupid stunt on a road ..... I learned my lesson. I guess that's what it takes for some people. That's the reason I sold the car .... it was too tempting to "wind out". Never will I do such again (unless on a track).

You guys are insane!!!! I would crap my pants if I went that fast. Being a crash reconstructionist for the police department I've seen some nasty stuff. I could not imagine working a crash with speeds of 140+. You would wreck for 2 miles!!!

175 on my R1 through a twisty mountain canyon is much scarier. And yes, that was EXTREMELY stupid, which is why I am not mature enough to own an R1 and live, so I sold it.
