I am looking to buy an MRT cat-back. I like the sound. I did a search and could not find any opinions in any of the forums here.

Can somone let me know their experience with this system? Is there any drone? I hope to order in the next day or 2 so any help is appreciated.

Thanks...

Do not buy anything from that craapy company! I have their H-Pipe and the cat went bad after 4 months. They said to ship it back and they shipped me another one. Now they are saying I will not get a full refund since the cat is not messed up. I had a shop look at it and it was confirmed that their product was damaged. Then they give me the runaround and bullshti answers. Why the hell would I exchange my brand new h-pipe for another brand new one of the same kind? They can't seem to answer that question. Also, they claim the product is not sellable anymore even though they first claimed that it is perfectly fine. I had to pay installation twice for this piece of garbage. Okay....you probably couldn't understand all my complaining because it is all thrown together........but basically, MRT is garbage and their customer service is ****y too and everyone who picks up the phone there claims to be a fkn manager.

Amen. Bought one of their H-pipes and the driver side cat was flush against the floorboard...could not get aligned any other way. Sent it back for a refund and they claimed it was within spec for fitment and would not refund my money saying my car must be screwed up. I've since installed a Bassani x with no problems, and prior to the MRT pipe my Mac Prochamber fit fine too. MRT Quality

It was my cat that died after 9 months. The cats are Magnaflow cats, so you can't blame MRT for them going bad. Alot of mid-pipes on the market use Magnaflow cats, so its not like you can easily avoid them. I think they must have produced a bad batch and sent them to MRT.

MNDZA - how did your shop determine that your cat was bad? If it was rattling it should had had a loose piece either still in the cat, or it should have fallen out when you took off the mid-pipe. That should be evidence enough of the problem.

oh yeah you can make your own catted h from pypes for under 250 150 for the mid pipe, 100 for cats, make four cuts and clamp it in, beats 450+ for shoddy stainless pipe anyday

I'm getting an aftermarket H-pipe soon, and I want something catted so I don't have to change it out every time to pass emmissions. I've seen mixed reviews on the MRT so my question is for anyone who has any experience with the MAC H-pipe with high flow cats. Anyone have any major complaints about theirs? Thanks.

So far no one has answered his question. The majority are just bashing MRT.
Sorry, I can't answer your question about the cat-back either , but...., I got to put in my 2 cents on MRT.

I have their catted mid pipe and MagnaFlow cat-back on my '02 GT. I live where they use salt to fight ice & snow and I wanted stainless. I couldn't be happier. Great quality, easy install, no clearance issues and no problem with the cats. As someone already said MagnaFlow makes the cats so if there's a problem, MRT is caught in the middle.

No..,I don't work for MRT. No affiliation....blah,blah,blah.

So noone has their cat-back system? On a board with this many members, I expected someone to have them...

I hear you guys with the H pipe. I recently bought one because a lot of people had good things to say about them. Granted - it is not on yet because I am waiting to get a cat-back and do it 1 time.

I can't help with the cat-back questions, but I wanted to say that I've dealt with MRT a few times and have had no issues whatsoever. They've always been courteous and helpful over the phone and I would trust products made by them.

They have just recently started selling their catback system, so its not suprising no one here has it yet. I will say that their customer support has been really good and I am considering their catback for my car along with a Magnaflow catback and the new "build-your-own" catback offered by partshopper in spite of the problems I've had with my cat.

Yeah I am not sure what happened exactly so I can only assume they are lying to me. I know for a fact the cat was defective and they claim it's not....but whatever.....I have already gotten my 80percent refund which is better than the 50percent they first offered me.
