I have an Msd distributor (no vacuum adv), Msd Blaster coil, and Msd 6al Box. I'm not getting spark to the coil. Does the Msd 6al box give spark to the coil.? If so, is there something inside of the box the can get changed or do i need a whole new unit?
How many wires do you have going to the coil? It should only have two wires from the msd going to the coil the 12v wire that went to the coil for your points dist. will be 12v source for the msd box.
I live here in El Paso where they are made. The box has no user serviceable parts inside. I think the fee is around $40 and they will troubleshoot it, if you mail it here. If it's covered they will fix it. Give 'em a call, or email their tech support.
Try the easiest things first. Get a volt/ohm meter and check for voltage coming into the + side of your coil. If none then check for power going into your msd box, if none then keep working backwards to find the problem. If you do show voltage at any point make sure its at least 12 volts. Check your grounds and check for a fuse or reset breaker on you msd.
