msd install help

2 questions.

1 where is my stock ignition box and im guessin i just remove it and pull all the wires that were attached to it?

2 where do most of u guys mount the box, install should b eas b/c i got the harness

there isnt a stock ignition box. if you have the harness, take the coil plug and plug it into the MSD, then run the new plug back to the coil and your 85% done. do you have instructions? search MSDignition.com

Omg please read or download the instruction from MSD before you do ANYTHING. I am just saying...

Sure there is a stock module / box. The location is on the passenger side fender wall. It is located near the bottom of the inner wall in front of the strut tower. It has an aluminum heat sink with large fins and has the plug installed in it. The module uses the aluminum to cool itself. These used to be installed on the distributor but Ford knew they had an overheating issue, so it was relocated away from the engine. You can use the harness at the coil for the MSD box. You need to use the + wire for the coil and follow those directions you get from MSD. They do sell a plug n play adapter to make it easy if you do not want to hack into the factory wiring.
