Installed the AL6 and everyonce in a while car would not start. Crank for a while. Come back an hour later, car runs fine. Took out box, no more problems. What do ya guys think?
If you want when you have time, let it run in the driveway with the box. When it fails, immediately circumvent the box. This would be a more concise means of inference.
I think that MSD's have the best ignition boxes, but the 6AL seems to have issues. I have had a 6AL that ran great and another one fry ignitions left and right. So, I'm going to get another one for the stang, but that's because everything else in my car is MSD as well as I said above I think they are the best ignition boxes.
yeah, msd isn't as good as it was 10 years ago.my brother bought a complete new setup for his 400sb malibu and it wouldn't even start the car.we messed with it and finally the car started up.all was fine for a couple months until the day we were going to a big cruise in about 50 miles away.car once again no start and we didn't have time to switch box's.we got home and still no start so i put my 10 year old 6abox that i've had on everything that i've owned and the car started right up.i still use there dist.,coils.etc. but i'll never buy another msd box.i've got 4 other friends with bad msd box's(3 6als and one 7al).
