Well i would say start with the MSD DIS-4. Its a modular-specific ingnition box which allows you to retard your timing, set a new rev limiter, etc. That box is somewhere between $350-400. I'm not sure what MSD makes for coil packs...but the Screamin' Demon Packs work great. That should be all you really need to do your ignition right for future mods such a power adder (nitrous, turbo, s/c)
Hope this helps.

Based on your mods...you really don't need an aftermarket ignition. If your gonna do a power adder, then it is necessity. Stock coil packs are putting out about 38,000 plus volts which is more than enough to fire your plugs. There is nothing wrong with upgrading your coils though, the extra volts help smooth out the power curve in the upper RPM band.

I swapped my stock coils to Screamin' Demons and it seemed to added some power to the upper end of the band. I don't have dyno proof but if I get the chance I'm going to ask my neighbor if I can get a deal on his Dynojet at his shop. Maybe I can swap them to see what kind of gains/losses I get.
