It seems as if their saying MAC is the loudest muffler. Now my question is Mac has different muffler does anyone know which ones they are talking about?

They were the new(at the time) stainless steel polished flowpaths. They weren't the loudest tho, keep in mind these readings were in a metal dyno building....don't know if it matters any. Click the link in my sig for the article. ;)

I know this isn't exactly what you were asking but I have MAC pro-chambers on my car with long-tubes and it has an awesome sound. I hadn't even heard what they sounded like outside of the car until yesterday when i let my cuz drive the car. Gives a nice deep, aggressive sound and it's pretty loud, but i have heard louder. I was honestly surprised at how good it really sounded, cause i am used to hearing it from inside the car only.

Look at the readings, some maxed out it.

I ended up running the bassani street(quiet thunders) after the test...nice rumble at idle and screamed at wot! No ****ing drone either like the numerous set of flowmasters i've ran. I recently picked up another set of bassani's for the new coupe also, kickass sound! Got em really cheap off ebay,(they are stainless, not the aluminized).... less than a set of flowmasters, lol.

I tried the bassani race(real streets) out for about 2 days, those mother f'rs were LOUD! Too loud for me, and i love to make noise!

i have mac stainless pros on my car and it sounds great, a buddy of mine has 30 series flows and mine is louder at idle for sure but they are about equal at high rpms.....but i like the sound of the mac's waaay better, it has a nice raspy throaty sound, not quite as deep as the flows though........you can hear me comin from a long ways away :D

if you read they used a flowmaster from an SUV spec one. Its not the same aswe run, they couldnt get one in time so they just used that. I bet you the original 40 series is louder and makes more power than the one they used.

No, thats what i original ran...the 40 series flowmasters. Believe it or not, my baseline the day before with the 40 series...368rwhp. Don't pay to much attention to the power #'s...i know, sounds weird huh. If they all came within that close of each other, pick what sounds the best to you...or go by price. Thats what i did, chose what sounded kick ass to me....and i could have had any set i wanted.
