I am getting new mufflers in the future and would like some suggestions as to what kind to get. I drive a 2002 GT and I want to have the stock ones taken off and some new ones welded in place. I was thinking maybe the new Flowmaster Super 40's or Dynomax UltraFlo's. The car is completely stock now with the exception of a cold air intake which came with the car. Which of the two would sound better?

Also, if you have any other suggestions, feel free to post them.

Thanks.

ok

the dynomax will give you more power then the flows.. but the flows sound more like a muscle car.. I went with dynomax..

I was a big fan of the Magnaflow's and MAC Flowpaths mufflers, until I heard an 01 GT with Flowmaster 1-chambers on them.....WOW!!

If you mind your car being LOUD, then I say 1-chamber Flows!

What are the best kind of Magnaflows? I'm looking for a good combination of sound and performance.

Get Flowmasters welded in for $120. The sound awesome. Then save some cash and get a full catback.

The Magnaflows are more expensive than the Flows. If you insist on Magnaflows, then Magnaflow Magnapacks is the way to go

What are the most inexpensive flow-through type mufflers? Not chambered, but magnaflow type. I want to get some weld in mufflers, but the cheapest I've found the magnapacks are $160 for a pair. That doesn't include having them welded in.

a lot of muffler shops are now advertising Magnaflows, and you can also get them online. If you just want to weld them in and stay cheap, you can get the aluminized version instead of SS. It will be the universal muffler.

Agreed. If you want to get a whole new catback, I got my magnaflow catback from www.fulllineexhaust.com for $300

What he said...and the best part-

the aluminized Magnaflow mufflers have a life time warranty too!
