Muffler Swap

I have had a pair of 3 chamber Flowmater's for the last 8 years. As everybody knows a drone is prevelant at about 2000 rpm. As i get older i do not like that any longer. I am looking at Magnaflow's. However, i understand that most muffler shops stock and want to put on a pair of Magnaflow's with a 14" body. I have read that a pair with a body of 18" will have less possibility to drone.

Can anyone with the 14" body Magnaflow give comment on the drone characteristics of this size muffler?

Yea, that is the size I have on my car. And there is no drone at all. They aren't a chambered muffler, they are a straight through design. Only chambered mufflers have a drone (I think). They sound a lot better than flows.

You have the 14" are the 18"?
