I went to HPT again tonight. The biggest change since last time was my DIY wideband. Using the VAM and AFPR, I got some much nicer AFs, and was able to run a little more boost.
My best time with the A4ld was 14.281 @ 97.24mph with a much improved 2.254 60'.
My most fun race of the evening was beating a C4 vette and a brand spanking new 350Z with temp tags on it.

Very nice.. Im waiting for the turbo to get back so i havent Gtech'ed the new setup yet but if i get times like yours ill be pretty happy. Will you be at WFC? I would love to check out your ride. Also do you have any pics of your DIY wideband? I would love to hear details of how you tuned it without a tuner, i think my setup is gonna need some tweaking.

what are typical 60' times with a 2.3T an about 300hp? nothing fanncy, no tranny brake, no drag radials. any ideas?

I am thinking about going up for WFC on one day. It is unfortunatly the weekend preceding my finals week. Otherwise, I would probably be there the whole event.
I don't have any pictures of the wideband now. I'll get some when I can. When I initially put the wideband on, it was going scary lean above 5500, like 12.8:1, and was plenty fat in the midrange with 10:1. I tightend the vam spring a bunch, and upped the fuel pressure to compensate. I am running 50psi base fuel pressure and it stays in the high 10s and 11s, and only leans out to about 12:1 at 6500

Depends on how well you can drive. Otherwise, it is the same as any other mustang with a similar setup... 2.0-2.1 would be considered good.

I dont have a AFPR yet, but i am gonna need one soon as i think my stocker leaks, but the vam spring.. where is it? My vam doesnt seem to have any service ports or anything on it.. I wont mess with it now, but it would be nice to know where it is. without the turbo my Narrow band spends alot more time in the rich then it does in the lean, and when you start it and let it idle you can smell that the car is rich (and the gauge shows that)

You have to take the plastic cover on the top of the VAM off to access the spring. The spring is adjusted by a wheel with cogs which you rotate to change the spring preload. Adjusting the VAM is not for the faint of heart. Be sure to mark it first so you can go back to the stock setting!

bhuff...did you do a complete turbo swap, or did you mod your n/a engine to turbo specs, running low boost? for some reason i always think you slapped a turbo on the stock engine and run low boost. is you a4ld the original, rebuild?
just wanted to know for my own future reference. thanx

I rebuilt the NA to turbo specs, but it still has a high compression ratio. The boost was at 16psi on 92 octane. The a4ld is rebuilt, but leaving soon. I have a T5 waiting to be used.
