k so know everything is good. i drove 100k tonight with it.
seems normal to me. and she finaly idles right when warm.
Running her at 10 degrees right now.
Anybody have any suggestion on where i should run her at? I was thinking around 14 where it was before.

other than that, i NEED to get rid of that damn seized mechanical fan, sucking lots of juice right out of her.

Ya, electric fans are the way to go on those motors! I've heard 14 degrees is also the what most 5.0 people run at.

14 is what ABS set mine at when I got my engine done by them way back when. I was told it should be set as far ahead as you you can get away with without detonation.

14 seems to be what everyone is running, but like Cobrastang says, keep advancing it till it pings, then back off just a smidge till stops.

I picked up a fan from a 3.8 Taurus at Buck's the other day for $17 and it looks to be a pretty good fan.You might think about getting one of those ones.

I tested out the Taurus 3.8 fan in the garage and it takes 30 amps just to keep it running on the high setting.
