As far as drivetrain, some of the earlier 3650 transmissions (like you have) especially <03 have problems with the synchros and eventually gears. Stock clutch should hold 500hp or so depending on current mileage. So you'll want to upgrade trans/clutch eventually... If you are focused on drag racing and the launch, at a minimum get some 31 spline axles and 31 spline diff, weld the axle tubes, and torque boxes.

Now I have a question for you, how fast do you wanna go?? With a power adder (nitrous, blower, or turbo) high to mid 11's will be possible on the stock block, any lower and that and you'll want a built shortblock block (rods/pistons/crank), and maybe heads/cams.
