I want to see how many of you have had your mustang shut off while driving.

I know it has been post many times and everyone says it is the IAC, but I had mine replaced by the dealer on Dec 7th and it died again today. The regional engineer is going to look at it tomorrow, but I would like to get everyone to post that has had this happen so we can find out how many mustangs are dying. Please add the year and type of Mustang.

Mustangs of mine that have died
2000 GT Manual
2003 GT Auto died with less than 1K miles on it
2003 GT Manual my current car

Thank you all for your time.

I've had my 2002 GT (5-speed) die twice while driving. No indication of any problem before, during or after. It just died, so I put the clutch in, started up and continued driving on the highway. It hasn't happened for quite a while. <knocking on wood>

Has never stalled while driving. 99 GT. I had an IAC go bad a year ago, it wouldn't hold an idle. Replaced and it's been fine since.

i know what you are talking about, mine died 2 times a while back. i had it to ford, they reprogramed the computer for somthing else actually. of course it didnt fix what it was supposed to, but it never stalled while driving again.

i have only heard speculation, somthing having to do with hard breaking and the anti theft system, the other was a fuel system. no idea what caused it.

oh btw the cd player keeps playing when this happens correct? if so it was the same as mine.

Yes, all the electronics still work AC, CD player, the car is ON, but the engine stops running.

Mine died a few times, all in the same day, took it to autozone and did a diagnostic test, all 4 o2 sensors had gone bad, probably not at the same time, but they were all bad. I replaced them, and it hasnt happened since....
