can anyone tell me, "how long the 2.3L engines were used in mustangs?", i was under the impression that it was until 1986, but the ford site has pointed to the mid 90's.............

1993 was the last time a 2.3L 140 cid was inside a Factory built Mustang. Now the differences in the 2.3 L engines through the years wil get you. there are single plug and dual plug heads, there are N/A and Turbo Heads also. It is easy to tell which is a Na/or Turbo. 1. if it has dual plugs it is not a turbo head, if the car has a t-3 on it it most likely is a turbo head.

Now that we have passed that. Please do not ask if you can place a turbo on a N/A car. The answer is yes you can but in the long run it is not the best chouice to do. If you are looking for a swap from a N/A engine to a Turbo engine Please look at a 1988 Thunderbird Turbocoupe. If you are looking to buy a car that already is swaped or origional just ask and 351wcoupe may have an extra one around the house (literally) he may sell you.

I hope this information helps.
