I live near Toledo, Ohio and am trying to find a more local place than driving 1.5 to 2 hrs for someone to work on my car. I've been to Alternative Auto, Pauls High Performance, and Livernois, which was the closest at 1 hour. No complaints about any of them, just want closer and out of Detroit traffic. I don't care if it is a mom and pop place. Nothing fancy, just rear gear change and replace the leaking somewhere header gaskets. Yeah I could do the gasket myself but it was a killer putting them on.
