Mustang shops in Roanoke area??

Does anyone know of any mustang shops that can do a gear install in the Roanoke area. Im here in radford and ill drive a max of 2 hours out for the install but not any further. so if you guys know of any good shops to good to for a reasonable price that would be great thanks. Oh and im looking to pay no more than 400 for the install the ford dealer freaking quoted 800 dollars for the install and thats if i have the gears. I just said no thank you.

Hey I live in Roanoke, try M&R Mechanical. They installed my gears for me for $250 and did a great job, no whine or any other problems. Just bring them the gears, install kit, and gear oil, and you're all set. The number is 342-1001.

hey man thanks for the reply. Yea i go to radford university and thought i would get my stang a birthday present. 250 is a really good price for install much better than my other quotes that ive gotten which are the 800 from the dealer and 400 from some other place in spring field.

$800?!?!?!? Holy crap... That is rediculous! Yeah, but these guys do a great job, and my gears so far have been one of my favorite mods, and I have quite a few now. Enjoy.

does anyone know of any other shops that can install gears near roanoke?? M&R isnt picking up their phones and its 1 o clock on a wednesday

thats alright i just made an appointment with the ford dealer i found one close to me that quoted 320 which is much better than the one near my house in stafford that quoted 800

Roanoke Rapids, NC??? Thats where my 1st 98 Mustang GT broke down when i was driving it back from Flordia (where i had just bought it) to home in New Jersey. *sigh* good memories

Most 4x4 shops can do it significantly cheaper. You also have Performance Auto Sport in Richmond, but not sure if Mark or Don do gears.

yea my gears are already being installed tuesday but thanks anyways i also gotta ask the ford tech what the heck is wrong with my car is seems i have no pull what so ever. Its kinda crappy cause my buddys 99 gt with just a magnaflow catback pulls on me easily without my tune on. and i get a weird popping noise in teh exhaust that kinda makes a metalic rattle noise under load. also my baro readings are 30.5 hz and my long terms are off so i gotta find out whats causing that as well i think it may be an exhaust leak but im not sure

Thats sick man im sure you have heard my car then lol. Or atleast seen me. Its a DSG 40th anniversary gt. I park in lot Z all the time and am normally parked near a red 99 gt. So yea if u see me just say whats up or something.

Sweet man...yea ive got a black sn95 sittin on 03 chrome cobras lowered a tad..ill keep an eye out for your car this week as im in c-ville at the moment. my car has a good bark 2 it...slp x no cats and magnapacks soon to be SLP headers and a new motor....
