Observations from Myrtle Beach

I live 15 minutes from the show spot, so it was good to be there and see all the Stangs in the neighborhood during the week as we went to the store, restaurants, show, etc. I have a few observations to offer:
First, I was surprised to see so many Shelby Mustangs. Yes, I would love to own one, but the prices don't match our pocketbook.
Second, as a '95 GT owner, I saw many more '94 - '98 Mustangs than I expected.
Third, the array of vendors seemed smaller than last year. I especially missed Steeda and Steve Saleen.
Fourth, I have a friend that says every decision to purchase a Mustang is an emotional decision. If that is true, Ford has done a remarkable job of creating so many specialty cars among Mustangs. At least 10 times a day during the week, I said to my wife, "I sure would like to have that one."
See you there next year.

Two photos from Myrtle Beach. The one with my car behind the Shelby is about as close as I will come to that one given the prices. The orange little Mustang is from a little girl who wanted her car to be like her daddy's.
