Alright so after much sitting around, I am finally getting some work done on the stang this weekend. Some concerns/thoughts/questions I'd like input on though. Alright, currently I have a 2000 GT, Auto.
Heres what I am getting done:
1. Installing Lentech AODE/4R70W Strip Terminator Full Manual Valve Bodies (W/O Brake)
2. Having 4:10s Installed
3. Installing 2 Corbeau Forza II Seats with 5Point Harness ( I kinda did this on my other stang already, love it)
4. Having a B&M Hammer Shifter Installed
5. Having a SLP Loudmouth II Catback Exhaust Installed (I think this is the one? Is this correct for my GT Auto?)
That aside I am also having it repainted, a new 3rd brake light assembly (mine looks sandpapered, i know, on-going problem), installing a lower front grille (3pc) , and repairing my D-side fog light assembly which is really messed up and cracked. No Idea.
I also have a Evolution GT Steering Wheel which I really want in my stang.
The manual says that Installing it will require me to bypass the airbag though (obviously, and this wheel doesnt have one).
My questions are:
1. Good choice on valve bodies and shifter?
2. Suitable exhaust?
3. I want the steering wheel, is it going to be a hard install? See, right now... the steering wheel has cruise control buttons on it. Whats going to happen with those? I mean quite frankly. Their useless after the valve bodies, what good is cruise control when full manual shifting has to occur?
Also... I won't need anything like a shift kit or a new tune to firm my ship points will I since... that's irrelevant because I am installing manual valve bodies which puts the shifting points in my hands not the cars.
I do know a tune to fix the speedo after the gears is necessary.
Not all that knowledged, ESPECIALLY WITH AUTOMATIC TRANNY. So please work with me here.
