Ended up with a 1998 Mustang GT convertible in 2005 to help them out on their rent. Everything was broken except 4.6 engine. Top was sawdust, seats were broken down, windows broke, and every wheel had a different wheel/tire. Still have it and we're on our 2nd top and been a reliable vehicle. Dangerously fast! Now have bought and flipped 1995 Mustang convertible, 2001 Mustang coupe, and 2003 Mustang convertible deluxe.

Welcome to Stangnet

I do wish I had your same luck. I can't seem to find what I need in a Project car yet.

In this last year of 2019-2020 I've gotten 3)projects and all up and running. 2001 Mustang coupe $400 (not running for two yrs), 1995 Mustang convertible $800 (running but with window, seat and exhaust issues), and 2003 Mustang convertible $1,200 (not running. "Perfect leather interior"). Plus my keeper since 2003 a 1996 Mustang convertible GT 4.6 $400 (everything wrong except the engine).

2001 and 2003 I have had to put in fuel pumps. (I'll have to post instructions and photo's, of how I cut the trunk out to replace fuel pump). 2001 and 1995 window issues (work thru the speaker hole to change out window regulator motor). My 1996 convertible replaced top and interior liner. Both motors 3.8 and 4.6 have been good running Engines!

OMG that FKN speaker hole on the window regulator. Why in the hell Ford or any other manufacturer don't make things at least easy for a mechanic is beyond me. I think I dropped more things inside that damn hole and had to fish them out than I even care to count. I had one nut inside that hole for at least 6 months before I got too tired of hearing it rattle around and finally fished it out of the door.
