I try not to support companies related to our hobby that are greedy takers and Ron Bramlett tops the list there in my book. The jerk somehow thinks he invented the concept of the restomod and is trying to get the word copyrighted. Remember TCP? When they first introduced their power R&P it was $1700 and as soon as Rom Bramlett secured their product line as the SOLE DISTRIBUTOR (I think he ended up buying them out but am not sure) the price immediately went to $2500. This only scratches the surface.

I share your sentiments to a certain extent. The Mustang Plus sole distributorship for TCP ended once the price hikes significantly impacted TCP sales. I heard a rumor there was pending litigation at one point over this, but I never heard anything more. The rights to manufacture the TCP product line is now owned by Chris Alston's Chassisworks in Sacramento.

As far as trademarking the restomod word, how absurd! Ron Bramlett likely believes this is astute marketing. Having said that, the existence of Mustangs Plus is a benefit to the hobby, but it is not there for the sake of it. They are in business to make money. My vote for Mustang Plus stupid product of the year is the Restomod remote speed shifter. OMG!

I'm glad they lost a customer and I am happy you found what you needed for an overall cheaper price. A little looking will almost always get you a better overall price than what Mustangs Plus charges. They used to be cheaper but I guess arrogance and marketing make them think their products are worth more than the exact same thing from somewhere else.

Hehe, I want one of those remote shifters. I want to hide it under a console or something, though. It looks funny, but my auto shifter is way too far forward. I expect when I transplant a Tremec, it's going to be a PITA to shift. I want to autox the car, so tight seat belts will be a must.
