Was bored today and it was sunny and 72* so i went out and did some well needed cleanning on my coupe. I figured i'd try to clean the carpet in it with lysol carpet cleaner and it came out great! So good i might not order carpet kit for it now? I'm gonna do my other coupe tomorrow. The pics dont justify the before and afters but it looks great! In the pics it looks like you can still see the stains, but you caint even tell they were there. It's my crappy cell phone camera.
this was a huge oil like stain.it looked like someone spilled a gallon of 200,000 mile oil on the rear driverside before:

this is the drivers side door sill area before:

72*, it's 42* here, winter returned last night.

My old gray carpet was nasty just like that, I just threw in an $11 SN95 black carpet that I got from the junkyard for now. Yours looks pretty good though.

Hmmmm ... Frankenstang should probably try this on the carpet in her Capri sometime.

What specific Lysol carpet cleaner did you use? Any chance it might also work on fabric seats, too?

Ummm, my carpet is a DISASTER. It's FAR worse than SMOKEDYA's was. I get nauseated just looking at it.

I'll try it though.

I saw here some one removed their carpet, hung it up and took a pressure washer to it. after it dried it looked like new. so if your going to replace ur carpet anyway frankie, give that a shot.

+1.
i had some wheel cleaner from work. i sprayed it straight onto the entire carpet, especially the stains, and let it sit for a few mins while rubbing it in... then i took the pressure washer to it... it takes 10-20 mins to get all the soap out, but the water coming off will be brown.. let it sit in the sun for a few hours... BRAND NEW!

NotQuik good eye on the wheels! LiquidGT so i heard,i talked to my sister in ohio about 3 hours ago and it was snowing there FrankenStang~ you'd be surprised! mine was gross nasty! i think it's from when the sloppy cop spilled all his coffees and doughtnuts in it when it was in service? trust me the pictures dont compare to real life results! 1991notchbackLX thanks my other coupe is getting the treat ment tomorrow it's gonna be 70's again! lang williams i was soooooo close to taking mine down also and doing the same but didnt want to pack it down to a car wash plus my other coupe dosent have the room! ALTHOUGH! I could of been like my ex g/f dumb ass brother and just grabed the garden hose and a scrub brush with a bucket of water or the brat russian kids with the garden hose spraying the crap out of there parents interior down the street from me! i'll post pics of my other coupe tomorrow after i'm done.oh yeah and Darkwriter77 sorry almost forgot about yours. i think it will work for seats i was gonna do my rear seats but i had to go get my daughter from school. i put my front seats in the washer and they came out sweet a few months ago. if it works good i'll definitly do the treatment on my other coupe.yah know how hard it is to find 93 opal grey interior parts! peace

mine used to be pretty raunchy like both of yours too. I'm still gonna replace it someday cause it's faded, but I steam cleaned it a while back and that took out ALL the stains on my carpet and seats. I bought a little steam cleaner from loses for 100$, used it, cleaned it out and took it back.

Looks good! I just did mine a short while ago, pulled it out, soaked in cleaners then hosed it down. Looks a million times better now, though you can still see a couple dark spots. Also took care of minor floorboard issues while it was out
