My 2010 convertible went from Sterling Grey to Black matt (video)

First of all, Happy new year to Everybody

Just recent days i have finished my mustang convertible wrapping from Sterling Grey to Black Matt color. I know there are many contraversial opinions on this topic. So i am. Very unsual to get used to new look of the car. But since first 100 miles i felt like color retracting people look and attention very much.

The pictures of wraping process and few moments of driving are captured on the video. Wraping was made by local tuning master. thanks Vlad for great job!

I wanted to buy black, because of there are already many black stuff on car like convertible top, front and rear upper parts of bumber and so on. The only available was sterling grey. Also i have seen SS camaro 1970's something made in black matt with chrome details and chrome custome thorqs. Chrome looks amazing and stands out on matt surfaces. Also it gives a real vintage muscle look. Same like i wanted to. I have read many negative opinions about black matte. But i was told it is completely reversible process. You just take the vynil after some5 years with no marks left. In reality it looks like 10 times better than in that video, really

I love the black matte, I think it is one of the nicest colours to have on a car. The vinyl idea is really cool, I thought it was going to be a video of a rattle-can job

As henry ford said it must be black so i did. I will post some pictures when it melts down and sun comes back to the country. In moonshine its like shadow because does not reflect any light. I am not batmobile fan or something. I like it dude, looks real good, And if the vinyl wont cause any problems to the paint that is the best option for going with a matte black.

It took about 16 hRs. Price was 1000usd plus 100usd for matt paint of wheels. I got 5 year waranty. From one meter or by touching you cannot tell what is surface wrap or paint. Looks like oem

Whats the procedure for cleaning the car, just simple washing with a quality car wash soap and microfiber towel? I would love to see some high quality pics when you get a chance

I'm also curious about the cleaning process, as well as seeing more pics.

$1000 is a really good price for that, I've heard of upwards of 2 grand being quoted for a full vinyl wrap.

Thanks for posting the link to the pics, I really do like it What an excellent job they did, if you hadn't told me it was a wrap, I would have thought it was a flat paint job and a very nice one at that.

I think it looks great. I'm really loving the satin black look. There is a guy in my area with a satin black CTS-V the cat looks sick. Wish I had the ballz (and the cash) to do it to my car... but I dont.
