OK......I took the rod that loosened up to the machine shop and found it was all out of round and had it fixed......I than took the rest of the rods in and had them checked and found they were to small. .0005 clearance for oil.......I need -.001undersized bearings now to remedy the problem. lesson learned here.....when you buy and allready built shortblock engine check the clearances before you finish building it unless you know the builder really well. With any luck Ill have it back together in a week or two. I guess I lucked out with it not coming apart and really blowing the block apart. The machine shop said the problen was not caused by overreving the engine but a lack of attention to detail on the buildup because he never had a ARP wavelock bolt "just come loose" like that. The shop is grimes machine in Ephrata PA, on main street. They were very helpfull and willing to explain what was going on.
