thanks for the replys ... I just ordered a set of the valve cover gaskets mentioned above . The wing is staying , my plans are to two tone the car black up top and jalepeno red ( my dads favorite color ) from the body line just above the door handle ( similar to 25ths paint design ) seperated by a gunmetal stripe and 10th anniversary replica wheels . I think this car might be pretty rare as it is a GT vert with an automatic and manual windows and doors .
Valve cover stud kit??? That sounds like a HUGE help!
Ever located the valve cover gaskets on the head perfectly the first time or do you just keep lifting the valve cover on and off while you try to get the gasket to center right? If so, then you don't have studs. Changing the gaskets is as easy as setting the gasket over the preinstalled studs and bolting on the valve cover. No more annoying centering issues. Now, if you had a set you would ask such a question.
You practically stole that car for $900. Around my area, that car would've fetched about 4 grand. Nice score.
What is it exactly you are trying to say here? He said it would be a huge help to have a valve cover stud kit...and I agree! It can be a PITA to get the gaskets aligned and studs would be a very welcome addition!! I hadn't heard of or seen such a thing before...and 25th's reaction was one of the same...kind of like a "whoa there is such a thing? nice!" type of reaction...
