My 99 is dead

Yeah after doing something I'm probably going to have to buy another car or cheap truck. Prefer another stang. If I am able to get a rental they won't let me keep it till my truck or MM is done.

I would love to either throw that money at the truck or mm or even as a small down payment on a house.

I'm trying to get the realtor to talk our old mayor into selling his parents house to me dirt cheap. At one time he had mentioned something about 75,000. His wife wants top dollar but he doesn't have the money to fix it up.

Sorry to see that man. On a side note, if you want more cash from your Ins. company, ask them to pay you out for the rental, that is if you can get something else to drive. I didn't have a credit card to use for a rental when my car was totaled, so I just said 'give me the cash biotch!" and they cut me a 900$ check and sent it my way right away!

Just in case. Ya know how that is.

Now I can dream of lowballing and getting a 03 GT. Its on ebay for a low starting bid but has a reserve. I looked on the dealers site and they want 12,995. Maybe I will get a magic stroke of luck and they will sell it to me majorly cheap. Red, gray leather int, 5 speed, little over 22.000 miles. Mint condition.

I know theres no way but whats it hurt to try

Total Loss valued at $3,763

Buy a cheap beater, and I mean cheap as hell...old s 10, escort, whatever to get you to work for the next month at the most......purchase a reman short block for the stang.......get it on the road in good driving condition, take the rest and sink in the dodge.....scrap off the beater for what you paid for it or a little less...now you have the MM in reliable condition, the ram is good, NOW you take your time with the big engine build......

just a thought...

Heres the thing. I understand what your saying and it makes perfect sense. BUT if I'm gonna buy a car i want something I will have fun in and enjoy driving. If I gotta buy a POS car that i hate I wont want to drive it and it will to me be a waste of money.

I want another stang and I have 2 that I got my eye on. I plan on posting a thread to get opinions on the 2.

Theres another reason behind my madness which I will PM you about.

POS cars are the funnest! You can drive the **** out of them and not really care what happens. It may not be the best if you need something every day reliable for a while, but for a temporary car for a month or two they're great. :)

OK so I gave it some thought and you guys are right. However finding a "cheap" car is impossible for some reason. I have found a ranger that is beat up for 1198 and a corolla for 2000. Theres no way I'm spending my money on them 2 junkers. I decided to open my option to things other then Mustangs. I didn't want to buy anything but I really need something to drive till i get my car or truck running. I decided to find something at a good price and use the rest of the money to put toward my truck. Mom mom seen a car local so tonight we went to see if it was still there. On the way I seen a Explorer for sale. The car that we went to look at was gone so we drove back to check out the Explorer. Its a 95 4x4 has 176,000 on it, body is in great shape from what I could see, has mint gray leather int. The are asking 2,500 obo. I'm gonna give them a call tomorrow and see if they would consider taking 2,000. I'm also gonna see if they are willing to work something out with me beings I don't have the check yet.

On a happy note when the lady called she said I'll be getting like 3,900 and some. More then I was told before. If I can talk the people down to 2000 I'll have almost 2,000 to throw at the truck.

I think its a good idea? Its cheaper then a mustang, and its a 4x4. It will be better for the remainder of the winter and if I wanted too I could drive it instead of my ram on the really bad days. That way if something happens I mess that up and not my nice truck

This sound like a better option to you guys?

Thanks for talking some sense into me :nice:
