my backlash spec

my backlash with the factory shims(one thick one on each side) dialed in at like 0.14-0.15, should I go with that?

should be more like .011, since the range is about .008 to .015

its within spec but yes the range is .008-.015, so you are on the high side. i wouldnt worry about it too much but if you have some pinion shims and a new crush sleeve and the time i would try to get it a little closer to .008. remember that after you get the pinion depth correct and get the backlash set you should put atleast a .004" shim on each side of the carrier especially if you are putting new gears and bearings in it.
