The F6 270 Turbo

The F6 270 Turbo. A 4-litre turbo-charged, intercooled, 24-valve double overhead cam six. The highest torque output of any production six ever built in Australia and one of the most powerful in the world. Through partnership with Prodrive and their mastery of turbo technology across F1 and World Rally, the development of our high performance turbo-charged FPV has changed performance cars forever. We created an engine with dramatically improved cooling and induction. The 50% larger (than XR6 Turbo) air-to-air intercooler and dual Ram Air system significantly reduces intake pressure into the turbo's compressor — allowing it to work more efficiently… and effectively.

The result. A fully engineered performance-driven power generator. Armed with double overhead camshafts and 4-valve aluminum cylinder heads, the F6 270 Turbo produces its maximum power of 270kW at 5250 rpm. However, the real story is torque. All 550Nm is on tap from just 2000 rpm and remaining constant all the way through to 4250 rpm.

At time of launch, the highest torque output of any production engine ever built in Australia. Even more staggering is the engine's ability to produce 80% of its maximum torque at 1500 rpm and over 98% at 1750 rpm. Total Performance meets the turbo.

i i had a choice to get a car under 30 grand right now anything i wanted, id go for a used z06 or the gto(400hp) version of course.

i wouldnt get a cobra because i already have a mustang build in progress so id go with one of those. i dont know the sleeper look of the gto really grew on me latley. if i could get an m3 under 30 i go with thst but that isnt going to happen.

Well, we're talking 4 doors here, not 2. The GTO looks too plain for most people, me included.

I'd sport one of the two I posted anyday over a GTO. JMO of course.

well, hes keeping his honda daily driver, so im gonna try to broaden his view of cars available to him.

maybe ill throw out there the z06 and the gto. you can get a used z06 c5 for right arund 30 g's these days.

The Charger SRT-8 and 300 SRT-8 are the baddest American sedans on the market period and probably the baddest overall if you add in cost. Sure an M5 or AMG Benz are cooler but they are also twice the price.


Hell I would rather have a Hemi Charger over any sedan GM or Ford make. Ford needs an SVT Fusion that borrows the turbo 4 and awd from the Mazdaspeed6. That or make a car as nice as the new Camry for the same $$ that would help them get out of the dumper.
