You should be sad.. you will probably fall into a deep depression and have to get put on all types of medication and seek a lot of psychological help for this situation..

Come on man... it's a friggin GT.. not like it's a Mach1, bullitt or 03/04 cobra

Why worry honestly? The main reason engines fail is due to not being maintained. If you change the oil regularly, and dont beat the living snot out of it every time you get in the car, then 100k is nothing in terms of its life potential. I would like to be the one to take my engine past 300k so I can prove all the ford haters wrong about the reliability of my car.

You shouldn't be worried Mr. Handz I have seen the
4.6L engines last well on over the 200K mark.Just
make sure you do your proper maintenance and oil
changes on time and you shouldn't have a problem.
Are engines are very reliable and dependable.

Sux to hit the old 100k mark man... Mine is at 74k right now and I feel bad enough about that Good news is if you keep it clean inside and out, nice coat of wax, and take care of the engine it should do 250k easy. You are definitely going to need to replace some suspension components to get there though like shocks, hub bearings, brake stuff, etc.

At 100k you should really consider doing some very exhaustive preventitive maintenance. This will enable your car to last a lot longer. Have you looked at the maintenance tables in your owner's manual?

i dunno about that... sure you have more miles, but has been driven a lot less per year I should be over 170 in another 7-8 months. your yearly miles run 17k a year, mine run 35k avg a year. so i'll catch you soon not trying to brag or anything, but there is more then just total miles. when you break over the 100k mark its interesting to see just how short (or long) a time it has taken to get that many. but yes, its my DD and i drive around 200-400 miles a day.. but hey, thats why i attacked my suspension first.... shocks went out at 70k.
