The car is cool as hell, and the way I see it sticking a 500 hp motor in that car would be a complete waste of time.
It will never be a drag car, the suspension is not built in a way that it will ever launch.
However The car is purpose built to look neat, dance, make a lot of noise, and drive around town with one wheel off the ground
I have a lot of respect for the time, and thought that has gone into this car, and I can only see an svo 2.3 and turbo as the "proper engine" for this car.

Thats a good point. You are probably much better off with the smaller engine just based on the type of things the car is meant to do, probably would not dance as well with an extra 300 pounds of dead weight on the nose . As long as it can spin the alternator(s) you'll be fine...
