some of you may remember, my t5s 5th gear went out last october. the retaining ring fell off.
i was going to fix it myself but i really hate working with t5s, i took it too a guy to fix it and my grinding 4th gear and he never got around to doing it. i took it to another guy and told him to rebuild the whole thing. he rebuilt it, i got it back and slapped a nice new steel bearing retainer on. and yesterday i tossed the t5 back in and got the bitch running again.

the rear rims were drilled for a slick. i opened up the hole tapped them and got some nice chrome hex key cap screws to put in. i like it , gives it a race car look.
i got a new shifter knob. its a ball so i cut the threads on the handle to let it screw all the way down flush, rather than being able to see the threads under it.
the shifter is REALLY short know and the throw is not very long lol. which isnt a bad thing
my engine i rebuilt last summer, has only 3k on it so far. new parts are the TB and the CAI i made myself. it fit in pretty good. i managed to lose one of my hose clamps but it will hold for now lol
the car looks much better in person. the draglites make the car look totally different. it takes you off the small flaws the car has. heres the old wheels i had
the draglites look much better.
car feel quicker and more agile lol. the TB seemed to make a difference. it was pretty much the last basic mod left i had to do. i have ported heads and intake and a 73 mm maf and all the bolt ons. all with a stock TB so it was choking me.
the SFCs seem to work. still has the small rattles but the car feels solid over bumps. doesnt feel like two pieces going down the road. and they also seemed to help traction. overall i am happy and amd getting income tax soon and birthday cash so i will be further modding the stang can decide what to do, i was thinking either
suspension
paint and body supplies, cherry thing car out and get the panels straight and paint the car
or start saving for a SC
let know what u think about the car and some opinions on the next path i should take.
look for some nicer pics soon. the car isnt too clean i gave her a quick rinse to get the dirt off of it but i still need to detail it real nice before too long.
