When I drive my car hard down the road, I can smell something that stinks like a skunk, but I can't tell what it is. I also only smell it when the windows are down...Any theories?????
I've looked under the car, nothing dead, and it's only after wide open throttle... I was thinking the clutch was slipping or its the fan belt slipping, I have 55,000 miles on it.
Agreed, smells like clutch. Rear end fluid is the only thing I can think of that smells like something dead. Might as well look at it for signs of leakage too though.
Is your xpipe new? New pipes smell like rotten eggs. Or perhaps something has melted to the pipe and only stinks when youre wide open and heat up the pipes real good. I had(still have) that happen with a garbage bag.
