whats up guys, i have been thinking this over for quite some time and this last weekend i finally got the oppourtunity to start my carb swap. myself and my girlfriends brother decided to pull an all nighter in hopes of finishing it in 1 weekend, but realized how hard it is to work on a car for 30 hours straight. i guess i took on a little too much at once, so its not near finished yet. it also didnt help that i had surgery on my right elbow on monday, so its somewhat put on hold till i have back the full use of my arm. this weekend we did the carb swap, a fuel cell and holley pump with 3/8" aluminium fuel line, a/c and smog delete, full interior removal, and other random things that needed to be done. as of now this is my daily driver, but will soon be an open tracker when i get another car to dd (terminator ) when i got the car it had a complete stock interior, and sadly i no longer can find the pics. here are a few before this weekend shots to give an idea of where i started

i got a little excited and started tearing sheet apart before i took a before motor pic so here is the intake set in place

and most of the efi crap ripped out with the new manifold just sitting

a little farther on with carb and manifold just sitting in place. as for now im running a victor jr manifold and holley 750 4150 hp series double pumper. i know its a bit much for now but in a few months youll see why i went with this setup.

the fuel cell

i decided that i wanted to remove all my sound deadening and such at 3am and realized how long it was gonna take by 430 after only getting the passenger side up

another further along shot f the cell and fuel pump

and a few shots of the motor loosely wired just so we could fire it up last night

i should be able to do some more work failry soon so ill update the thread with more pics and video as soon as the car is running and i can actually drive haha

That's a serious carb there man....i couldn't afford the HP so i'm either going to mill my choke horn off or get a Proform main body. I already ripped the choke plate out about 3 days after i bought it  Mine's a 650dp 4150

nice. i got real lucky on this carb actually... craigslist for $250 ran only once on race gas. its a bit much but i couldnt turn it down. we are actually dremel-ing off my buddys choke horn and its a tedious task. just buy the proform and i think holley makes one as well for around $100

Yeah the Proform is like 100 bucks and they're supposed to be one of the best bang for the buck carb toys you can get, plues it's an easy way to get a little extra cfm if you need it, but i don't think either of us even need a 650 yet but you say you're building something?

I bought the 650 because i had a stroked 351 in the works but that never happened so now i'm stuck with too much carb lol. I'm building a little high compression 306 this spring so i'll get more use out of it.

ive been told the same about the proform. as for m motor, i am still in the process of planning, but i have some heavily ported world products windsor sr heads coming my way and i am planning on a very high revving 302. the 750 is about right for the rpm i will be spinning, but its still gonna be a bit much around town

What seat is that? I'm looking into some Recaro's or Corbeaus. Thanks!
