My city has gone to emissions testing, confused on what mods

My county has decided to go to emissions testing in 6 months to a year. This is the first time ever. I have turned my car back to stock to save up for bigger and better mods and a better setup.
Now I'm not sure on mods to do now, since we will have emissions testing.

Nothing is final yet, but rumors are they will have a tail-pipe sniffer and 96 and later cars will be hooked up to a obd II port. I don't know if they will have a visual inspection or not. But of course this is my daily driver but I don't want stuff that will have me fail.

Still undecided on my setup.

But if they hook into the obdII port and I have a chip tuned to turn off the rear o2's will that show up and fail me. I know I would have to swap in a catted midpipe, but if the chip has that programmed will I be screwed.

Also a s/c car with a bypass valve into the atmosphere will that fail me or do they not know what it is.

Also nitrous being hooked up, hows that pan out.

And the last question is on vt engine cams. Stage 1's, Stage 2's, or there blower cams.

I'm saving money for a future setup with good numbers, I just don't want to have to change out good expensive stuff for a yearly test.

For the exhaust, if you have a chip or mils then it will pass the computer test but might not pass the sniffer.

Ok, cool thats one question answered for me. I'll throw on a catted mid-pipe before going to test when the time comes.

if you want to play it really safe just make sure everything you put on is CARB approved. just to let you know the KB blowers are CARB legal.
