recenetly picked up this 88 notch that was orignally a 4cyl but the previous owner took everythign from a 92 car to swap over, motor trans rear wiring and computer. just curious of waht everyone thinks of the combo im not expecting muhc would would like a estimate on what it might make. stock bottom end thats pretty fresh, e cam, trick flow upper and lower, bbk 75 mm throttle body and egr spacer but egr was removed and unplugged. stock heads(only bottle neck i can think of with this combo) 24 lb injectors, mac 76mm mass air housing with 24lb calibration tube. stock 1.6 rockers. ac delete. stock fan. cold air intake inside fender. aluminum flywheel, king cobra clutch. t5 with 3.73's. thanks for your input. i was ponderign going to scrap yard adn looking for some gt40p's or older gt40 heads from a explorer before the p's just to keep the cost down. i think it owuld be a decent set up with a little more heads. i was going to throw a set of 1.7's on the heads now but i know it woudlnt help much i know the stock heads dotn flow much over .500. any input or advice would be great.

You're making about 215-230rwhp. Your combo is almost exactly the same as mine except for the 24#inj. Which you don't need right now. Definetly swap out the heads. Gt40's are a good budget build but I'd look for some used alum tfs/Afr/etc heads

I hate to say it but I think you are all over estimating it. Had a friend with a similar build and installed an F cam. After dyno tune peak number was 178rwhp. Those heads are out of breath before the cam and intake are hitting their stride.

Possibly. My $0.02 is 215ish. I think that MAF and TB are a bit large for the setup even for the TFS intake, may actually be hurting it.

I had a bone stock '87 vert make 228 to the tires with nothing but a 70mm throttle body, drop in K&N filter and an E cam.
So, in my opinion, at least 228rwhp. LOL

That's without mismatched top end and valve train components.

I agree... The intake and cam are helping minimally.. Stock is around 175rwhp prob, so I say 195 tops

I with e7's, .512 lift cam, ported ho lower w stock upper, cai, stock headers and stock h-pipe w pre- cats removed and Forza Flow mufflers I made 223 in a 95 w t5. Surely he'd be in that ballpark or a tad better. Before the precats removed and lower intake ported it made 202.

I'd say there is a good chance it doesn't run all that well.
76 meters are usually C&L's, so that crummy meter with 24's is probably dumping a ton of fuel into an engine that doesn't need it.

I'd be worried it's floating valves too.
It certainly will float them if you goto 1.7's.

Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
