I have a 98blk gt and my coolant intake manifold is cracked, is there a way to mend it untill i can get it repaired? There was a recall on my 96 gt but not one one my 98, any suggestions on a cheap repair.

Nope you're ****ed! Stupid thing! I had the same problem. 300 bucks from ford will get you a new one Yippeee! *sigh* I tried 183739X to mend it. Bought about 20 bucks worth of different types of glue. from JB WELD, epoxy, superglue. Combinations of them. They'll last for a day at best. Maybe a tad longer if u drive it like a granny. Good luck getting the intake fixed. It sucks!

Seems to be happening more and more to 98s, which is why I went and proactively replaced mine with an '02 PI intake with the aluminum crossover and got some hp to boot. You can turn this negative into a positive with the PI intake swap. Here's some threads for you, and feel free to ask questions.

Speaking of negative to a positive, I pulled mine off at 49,000 and put on an Allen supercharger. Now the old intake is collecting dust. Your welcome to it if you want it, but it may screw up in 10 or 20 thousand miles. I'd go with the supercharger fix........best $3500 you will EVER spend.
