Well I finally got my 98 stang back on the road after getting the trans fixed and it's make a noise now, a clicking sound, mainly when you step on the gas hard and also during normal driving. I thought it was the drive belt so I bought a new one and that didn't fix it. Also the sound comes and goes. When it makes it for extended periods of time the engine starts to lose power like it's not getting enough power to the spark plugs. My coil packs, spark plugs, and wires are all pretty new, I just replaced placed them about 2 months ago. It sounds like a moving part making the sound like maybe the alternator is going bad... any advice to help me out would be appreciated. Thanks.

sounds like the alternator. I had problems with mine in my old 2002 GT and what I did to narrow it down was while the car was idleing I took a long screw driver and put it on the alternator and put the other end to my ear and I could hear the bearings of the alternator clicking and whining.
