My first Problems (after car wash)

i washed my car and after driving around a little bit and then parking, i noticed a little run coming from the hood scoop...i tried to wash this stain(maybe from hard water) off but no luck...i tired to use to wax and that helped a little, but the stains are still there...does anyone have any type of solutions or what i should do get these stains off....??

is this a new car? if so i have no idea what would cause that...maybe try claybar?

Use a cleaner wax Like either Meguiars Cleaner/Wax or Meguiars ColorX. Both can be found at pretty much any auto parts store. Actually one thing you can try before that is some white distilled vinegar. It is pretty good at removing water spots.

it's a brand new car.....i washed my car at a friends but it seems they have some type of hard water(well water) and i tried to use the white vinegar but it didnt help..i think im just gonna contact my dealer and ask them to take a look and try to get them to get it off

Ooooh my gosh whatever you do don't let the dealer touch it!!!!! Just do a search on any board related to detailing like autopia.org for example and read about the apes that dealers hire to detail cars and you would never even consider that. Give cleaner wax a shot. I would try Meguiars cleaner wax, the stuff in the maroon bottle.

I agree, just get a polish or wax with an abrasive in it and it will come right off.

turns out that it was something to do with glue and it ran down my hood....the solution then ate away my clearcoat...i went to the dealer today and they are sending it to a body shop to fix that area friday...im glad my dealer agreed to have it fixed...

i second that about the apes at dealerships.
there is one at my dads shop. we call him shrek and well basically he ****S himself int he new navigators, marauders, mustangs, towncars, and any new car that he gets to detail. he does it to be funny so when an old person gets in after he is done they make faces and say it has a smell then he does it again. i give him crdeit on keeping himslef busy but there is other ways

well i got it fixed by a guy that ford directed me to...he had his own shop and i stayed there while he did it...very nice guy and he buffed out the marks and we basically talk about mustangs the whole time...definitely not a goon

Yea. I'm gonna go buy some weather stripping and seal the area under the scoop. Nothing worse than spending hours cleaning your car and then when you leave to go somewhere, damn water running out from under the scoop.
