I bought a couple of GT-40 uppers two weeks ago and decided to keep one for the Thunderbird. I stripped and smoothed the areas to be polished, then wet sanded with 220 to 2000 followed by a good polish with Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish then some Mother's Billet polish. I also added an Australian "FPV" badge to it. It seemed appropriate. The intake plate has a cheesy black and white "302 Power" graphic all over it....it had to go. What do you think guys?

I'm trying to decide what to do with my other GT-40 upper (the one in this pic). I was going to use it,but the screw holes for the upper plate were wrong,so,this intake got shelved and I used my other one. No pics of the one I polished, it was just painted silver. Nothing special..Here's the before on the intake plate...........
