Hey everyone. I just got my insurance renewal (suspended my Mustang's insurance for the winter) and good, good news. My premium was $240 a month (absolute murder...I know, but a 18yo male with a Mustang), but now it dropped to $120 because of various good student, safe driver, etc. discounts. The statement also said that when I turn 19 I'll be eligible for a lower billing rate. I'm ecstatic. If I beat these tickets in court March 31st, it'll stay good. This means more money freed up for mods.

That's fantastic. I got State Farm because my parents were on with them for so long (the only way they'd touch me, and they told me so) and they didn't immediatly hose me. I only changed because I went overseas and they didn't have a comparable company over there.

I don't think your $120 drop in premiums is because of your discounts.

I think it's because of:

USAA for me on my Cougar is about $300/month. Not bad when compared to statefarm which was about $600. However, I pay $117 for insurance with Progressive (3 people on same policy w/ policy cost split between us)

No, that is not the suspended rate. I know that because the insurance is scheduled to auto-renew on March 22nd (I'm impatient so I'll end up moving it up to the 1st), and the statement says March 22-Sept 22, 2004. It's not a bill, just one of the premium statements, so it's definitely the price for full covereage and it's definitely dropped. The student discount alone was worth $30 something.

My 6 month Prem with State Farm on my 02 GT is $1100 ($183.33/Month)but I have $800 in discounts (Multi-line, Steer Clear Prog, Good Student, Drivers Trainning...).

Not bad for being 20 Y Old, when I turn 21 I'll lose another 200-300 or so off my 6 month prem.
100/300/50
250 Comp
500 Collision
Un/Under Ins.
All the other fun coverages too

Nothing but good things to say about them
