Really nice T-Top lx you have there. Like the others stated props to you for breathing life into her. I got sick looking at what happened to that mint vert. I agree with you keeping it the original color blue and you can't go wrong with a black interior swap .

LOL, Just looking at it makes you guys sick, lol. Somewhere in this computer i have a pic of the pile i sick the driver left next to it after he got out...lol. My brother was so sick i don't think he ever saw it in person after it happened. I just handed him $350 and he gave me the signed title. After that it was towed to my place where it was chewed apart in about 3 days. Just me, a pick up truck and a saw-zaw. I still have the signed title and vin plate someplace..lol. The parts i did'nt keep found a new home in the local dumpsters....

LOL, So you would think. It has a clean and clear Michigan title. I got the car straight from the owner himself. There was still standing water in the head lights and tail lights. It was parked in his garage along side some other fox body's. "My favorite was the 82 GT" I'm not sure how long i'll keep it but I share it's history with the next owner. I have nothing to hide. I have nothing but time into it. less then 300 for the car. 350 for the vert parts car and 75 bucks for a t-5. most of the other parts i had laying around. I'm sure i'll repaint it toss on some pony wheels and drive it for the summer. Atleast untill after the woodward dream cruise.

A Carfax will say when & where it has been titled/registered though. But thats no problem as long as you up front with the next owner, if there is a next owner. But then again these cars are getting to an age, as well as Katrina is getting older, most people will not care.

If and when that day ever comes I'm sure i'll tell the truth. I'm with you people not caring at all. If what they want is a 87-88 t-top car then i'm sure they will take it anyway they can. It's not like the car stinks or anything. It was pretty much gutted and cleaned.

I commend you for reviving a Katrina victim. Its lookin good! I lost my 94 GT to Katrina. I only salvaged the tranny and few misc parts here and there. I wasn't able to get to opening up the motor for a while so my 1 year old AFR heads I had on it ended up being a casualty. That salt water ate that aluminum up. The intake ports and combustion chambers were pitted beyond cost-effective repair. I was too heartbroken to even want to try to redo the whole car. It was completely submerged under about 10 feet of water at the firehouse I was stationed at for the storm.

I wasn't able to get to opening up the motor for a while so my 1 year old AFR heads I had on it ended up being a casualty. That salt water ate that aluminum up. The intake ports and combustion chambers were pitted beyond cost-effective repair. I was too heartbroken to even want to try to redo the whole car. It was completely submerged under about 10 feet of water at the firehouse I was stationed at for the storm.

That is a bummer. Sorry to hear about your loss. Maybe, just maybe theres some dude out there like me who saved your car and just maybe is driving it right now. Atleast you were able to salvage the trans. There was some much mud in crap in the whole car i was unable to save any of the drive line. It was so bad i could'nt get the trans to seperate from the engine block.. To this day i'm am still unable to remove 4 pistons from that block......

Someplace. There on flim so i'll have to scan then. I'm stuck in the 90's. I just got my 1st hand me down digital camera couple days ago. The water was only about 3 feet deep where the car was. it was'nt that bad looking back at it. I would say the hardest part of the whole job was cleaning out of the doors.

Actually I think its still at my friend's junkyard that I brought it to. It might even be crushed now. I remember the trouble I had getting the tranny out of the car because everything(flywheel, clutch, input shaft) had pretty much fused together from the rust. Acrowbar was my best friend getting that thing out. lol I didn't even bother taking the shortblock apart because I was so discouraged after taking the heads off. Its cool though, I have another car to sink my hands into. I finally have a fox coupe now so I'm happy.

I know what your talking about. This one did'nt get tons of salt water so i guess thats what really saved it. I could still spin the output shaft after it was removed but you could hear the nastyness inside it. I never did manage to remove any of the valves from the heads either.

LOL, My wife says looking back at it the hardest part about it was being sick for 2 weeks after i removed the moldy interior.

Yeah, I think everybody who was exposed to the mold got sick. I had something like bronchitis...it was miserable.
