well the headers are in and the car is all tuned up correctly. first off these headers didnt make the car sound too much louder, maybe a little. it does however sound much more aggressive.

anyway, after the l/t im up 15 rwhp and 8 rwtq peak. im happy with the added hp, and these things are torque monsters! i know it dont look it with only 8 rwtq gain, but that is peak. the headers picked up 26 rwtq at 3200 rpm and 23 rwtq at 3500 rpm.

also from 5000-5900 rpm they picked up as much as 14rwtq!

car feels really different now and i like it. some of this gain is prolly do to the heads and cams, but i just wanted to let everyone know what i gained out of some l/t incase any of you are thinking about them.

Nice! Can you feel the difference? I'd imagine with that huge tk gain down low, you'd feel a hella difference.

rebeer, whats up. hows the new clutch workin out? grabs like heck id guess. well the car does sound pretty mean now. i like it.

as far as how the actual torque feel, well yea it feels like there is much more of a kick in the lower gears and rpm range. its strange because the torque feels like it evened things out a bit. what i mean is, after the heads and cams went on the top end improved greatly. gave the illusion that there was no bottom end. first and second gear and lower rpm's felt weak to me.

now that the l/t are in it really made the bottom end match and feel strong.

Glad to hear it. You'd think that low end may suffer but you proved that's not the case.

Hey Brian, I am going up to the track tonight to test the car and tune it a bit with the new clutch finally broken in. If you don't have plans, come on up!

Hey, CONGRATS MAN! If you know, what were the #s before it was tuned? Im throwing on BBK LTs (as you know) but I sure as heck am not driving back to Georgia for a retune ...according to tim, it will be fine after the LTs and no retune.
But if I pull that 15RWHP out of it at peak, ill be more than happy. That will put me at 289RWHP....and then I have my OTHER things that are going to HOPEFULLY bump me to 300.

eric, i would have liked to come, thanks for the invite. however im sitting at work as i type tonight.

hotmustang, the peak numbers were close to the same before the tune. however the numbers at the low rpm were were bad compaired to after the tune. i have a sheet of paper at home where i track all my gains...if you want i will post it later and you will see what i am talking about.

also after the addition of the l/t the car was running pretty lean without the tune. my tuner shut it down halfway through the dyno because it was getting too lean and he wanted to adjust it. this might have just been my car.

Thanks man! Well, I dont know what i can do...I can always dyno the car then send the chip and graph to tim and let him work off of that.
Like how close? 14? LOL. All my goal requires is 300RWHP ...thats why im asking .

You know, its funny most peopes cars go rich after LTs...but yours goes lean for some reason. hmm, ill have to get it on a dyno pretty soon after I throw them on.

Thanks again for the info man! So whats next?

well i had a dyno tune for the heads and cams. then threw the l/t on and put it on the dyno. it was so leaned out that my tuner shut it down. it was over 14. he tried to work it down and could only get it to just under 14. so the dyno numbers i got at first were from a tune, but it was a very off tune (close to not tuning after the l/t) then we figured out the problem and numbers soared. ill show you what i mean when i get home.

as far as peak: bad tune= 286/305 i think?
good tune 289/308

so you see the peak was close, wait till you see the difference everwhere else with the tune. ill post up later.

reeber did you go to the track? howed it go?

Hmm? I know...I was directing my statement at his A/F before the tune ...Thanks though.

And thanks adrenln! I hope mine doesnt go lean...but now I know to look out for it

I was driving around for MONTHS (and racing on the street and track) with my A/F @ 14-15+ BTW lol.

these were the differences between not being able to tune it at first, and then getting everything set up right with the tune.

as you can see the peak numbers were almost exact, but look at the rwtq at low rpm's. the difference is amazing!!!
