Like the title says, it no longer wants to power both wheels, just spins the hell out of the right one. I have another 8" carrier with 4.11's in it, but it's open. Any ideas on where to get a 8" traction lock (or equa-lock or whatever you want to call it) for the other carrier? Or is there some place that sells a rebuild kit for them? Does it have clutches like an 8.8 unit that I can rebuild or do I have to buy a new one? I'm kinda familiar with 8.8's but have never really been into the 8". Any other info would be welcome.

What I thought about doing was buy another traction lock and putting it in my 4.11 carrier and into my car, taking my 3.50 carrier out of the car and rebuilding/buy a new traction lock too, so I can have two carriers to choose.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

You just need to rebuild the 8" Traction loc with new clutches. If Summit doesn't carry the rebuild kit, try Currie or any of the other rearend specialty companies.

Here you go: Currie Enterprises P/N CE-5014M 8" clutch pack.

Thank you so much! I was hoping it could be rebuilt with clutches. Thanks for the part number too, you gave me exactly what I needed.
