My Mach1 Grill Delete has gaps! *pic*

I am installing my 3-peice Mach1 Grill Delete on my brand new bumper.
It includes the front panel, emblem, and back panel.
The bumper is not installed on the car yet, so this install should be very easy.
The back panel is already installed on the car.
And I am able to fasten the front panel piece that covers holes in bumper.
But, there is a gap of air between the right and left sides of the front panel peice and the bumper.
Any ideas???

Thought of that, but the sides should line up on their own
The double-sided tape has been used by people who have trouble fastening the bottom flush, not the sides.
Since the bumper was off the car, I did it the proper way and used screws.
Besides...
the tape wouldn't be strong enough to hold the sides to the bumper anyway.
I have to bend the bumper to make it flush.

My 3 piece set from the dealership came with dbl sided tape. I wedged a rag between the hood and the bottom piece of the kit for a couple hrs to make sure it stuck real good

So did mine, but only along the flat-middle part of the peice.
There was no tape along the right and left side parts in the picture.
Does yours have one long double sided tape along the whole peice, including the sides?
or
just along the middle like mine?

Keep in mind I don't have a gap along the bottom, just the sides.

Mine is all up in the middle . We used duct tape (wrapped) and some tar strips under there, but it still lifted up! It sucks...going to get some 3M double sided tape maybe tomorrow.

Like I said, I dont have a gap in the middle.
I only have gaps on the sides.
It's as thought it wasn't made properly

mine had small gaps on the sides too. smaller then yours though, i dont even notice them anymore.

Well, mine also has a gap on one side...but its not that bad. Im not too impressed with the kit...your right, it doesnt seem like its made perfectly like the bumper.
BTW that post wasnt directed at you...I know your gap was on the side . Just sharing that mine was mainly in the middle....but they didnt give me any of those clips that are suppsed to hold it down, so thats why....they also forgot my pony but I got that taken care of before christmas. Glad I looked at my gifts HAHAHA. I think someone jacked the parts out of the original box.

Well, I fixed it
The whole peice is flush now!
I used a hairdryer to heat up the bumper and pushed the sides inward a bit.
Then I put double-sided tape on the just the sides to secure them to the bumper.
On the bottom part, I used metal screws to mount the grill delete to the bumper and used nylon bushings to take up the space between the screw head and the bumper cover.
I basically followed the same procedure here:

The only difference was that I was fortunate enough to do it while the bumper was off the car
I will have pics tomorrow.
Damn it looks good!

The ones that hold the the peice down that attatches to the bumer are "6 x 5/8".
I could have gone a bit bigger, but I didn't want to mangle the plastic.
Not sure what other one your talking about

I bolted my horse on with the left-over bolts that held on the bottom of the stock grille.

if you want your grill delete to sit flush with the front bumper cut off small sections of vacume hose and slide them over the screws that hold the delete peice to the bumper, the hose acts like a spacer to take up the gap, i don't know if this will work for the sides but it works for the middle, that was the problem with mine, hope this helps those who don't like to use tape

ummmm....ok.
I don't think anyone has ever had a problem attaching the horse.

Thats what I did but they don't actually seem to tighten down 100%. But the horse is tight I just don't want it to fly off one day.
