My New Fun Project

Well me and Putnam88 picked up one of those pockets bikes from a kid we know. We decided to do an extended swing arm and put a different motor in it. We extended the swing arm 12" and remounted the rear suspension on it. For the new motor, I had a old 2 HP Briggs motor laying around. We decked the head .050 and Decked the block .010. We lightened the crank by turning .250 off the counterweights and also knife edged them a bit. For the cam we are going to check the piston to valve clearance and see how much we can increase the lift on the lobes. We also can grind on the side of the lobes to make the ramp rate higher. Should be a nasty little 2HP motor. We have it all done except the Cam work and the new motor mounting plate. Well here are some pictures of the creation.

ha thats rediculous. everythings small as hell. good luck an keep posting some pics to show us how its comin along. maybe you should do a mini V8 in it !!

Putnam88 was wanting to put a 250r dirtbike motor in it. Im not to sure i would feel safe on it then. I found another one i might pick up and put this current motor in and let him do his 250r deathtrap idea!

I think someone forgot to mention in those videos the engine was running on 30% nitro. We built it last night, we ended not doing any cam work to it. I think when we pull it back apart we will mess with the lobes a bit, and get a different carb that can give us a bit more fuel, we had to keep the thing choked for it to run. We are going to try to adapt a gear reduction box to it that came off the original mini bike motor. Well more to come, ill keep everyone updated.
