if launched correctly, the SVT is capable of low 15's. it's just a bitch to launch tho. a local guy got 15.1 stock and 14.9 with just a mid pipe. not too shabby. as far as handling and braking, a stock SVT Focus will hand any stock Si it's ass except maybe the newest Si. i haven't driven one of them yet.

my friend ran 14.9 with exhaust, header, intake on a SI. Too bad he never ran his supercharged s2000 when he had that... That thing would eat oil...

I have been in to imports for a long time. I just sold my 97 Maxima SE 5 speed. I still have my original one though, it is a 92 Maxima SE 5 Speed black/black leather, IRS, lots o mods they run a 15.3 stock, this one has had some goodness sprinkled over it from all the years of owning it, my buddy just ran a 13.7 with his automatic 92 Maxima SE. The SI is a good car for daily driving, good gas mileage and not a slug like some of these other gas savers. My Maxima is not a gas saver, it has a healthy V6.

The Civic looks better than my $700 91 Escort Pony edition w/Eibach springs, Tokico shocks/struts, Weapon R intake, Pacesetter header, Pacesetter exhaust, and B&M short throw shifter. A whole 100hp of rip roarin' hell.

I have a $500 92 Escort GT that comes in a blue green with rusted out wheel wells. That baby was made for speed. Best winter car ever. I don't like curling but in that baby the icey streets are a blast.

I tried to buy my bros Integra before I bought the Mustang. It used to have a built LS VTEC but then he swapped in a stock LS engine and bolted on a nice turbo setup... ended up blowing that engine (was used, abused, and had some miles on it). It still ran after he blew it up, but it sounded and ran like total ass, puked/burned a quart of oil every few minuts...

They are fun little cars though. They handle like crazy, and can be quick/fast with the right parts. I liked the VTEC though, it came on very hard on his engine in the 5k zone. Whole different exhaust note, car started pulling hard.

The turbo was fun also... it made for some good fun when the boost came on.

Hes still got it though, hopefully Ill get to mess with it sometime.

Yes, yes I do. I'm sorry I seem to have completely missed your point.

I have stock bumpers and plan to keep the stock bumpers...although I'd love to have those awesome z3 fenders that are on your si

I'll race ya with my Pimpin Geo!

Seriously tho, as long as you don't go rice it out, it makes great fun daily driver.
Other then my lugnut takes more torque then it makes, I've always liked the concept of VTEC engine, and is fun to rev(past where my GT would selfdistruct)

I'd take it as a DD. If you gotta go 4-banger, might as well at least get one of the more fun ones.

*side note - VTech also makes children's toy computers don't they?

PA Emissions is a breeze... My mustang had an off road H pipe and I passed. Just be friends with someone who has their inspection license and no check engine codes you are good. Least my Z3 are metal! Im not wild about them either if I come across a set of oem ebp fender for cheap id buy em. I hate stock bumpers are stangs looks so GHEY! I dont mind the 99-04 side skirts tho. Ford got that right. But the stupid indent on the front for license plate just makes it look like total crap! My stang is either getting a full saleen kit or saleen rear, cobra r front and not sure on side skirts...

For some reason they just never made that sweet of a bumper for 94-98's...
