I don't know if y'all frequent pro-touring.com or not, but its pretty typical that the folks come up with clever names and concepts for their projects. I know you've seen this kind of thing in magazines too... Buwicked, Chicayne, etc. Personally, I've never been one much for that kind of thing... I usually just refer to my Mustang as "the Mustang" or "the Mach". But I've been feeling more envious of how cool it is to have a cool name, so I thought I might could come up with something that would be catchy and be "high" concept. So I present my new Mach pro-touring project:

I'm still working out the details... which cheese wheels will I use??? Maybe a nice Gouda? And how can I make the holes in the swiss actually be functional for cooling and ram air??? I'll figure it all out eventually.

So, what do ya think? I'm gonna post it on pro-touring.com and see if they like it.

This is what happens when you upload different files with the same name... they both get deleted when you try to get rid of one of them. I'll put it back up tonight.

My better half named my cars.... '66 is Lucy, and the '01 is Cindy. They don't sound very cool.

my car got named "phantom lord". i was driving down to austin from lubbock once and was near Dyess AFB in abilene, jamming to metallica's kill em all specifically "phantom lord" when i got 2 fly by's from an f-4 phantom jet, that was pertty cool, that was also about 15 years ago when the air force was still flying the f-4's, so that is how my car got it's name. funny thing is i didn't give it the name my best friend did, i called him when i got to austin and told him about the fly by and said "it's kind of funny, i was listeneing to "phantom lord" when i got the fly by's" and he said well that's it we're gonna have to call your car "phantom lord" and that's what we've called it ever since. so i guess it's "project phantom lord" now, whadda ya think?

It hasn't really gotten much of a response. I fear some of them might've taken it a bit personally maybe... Oh well, I'm off to the Old World Cheese Shop to see if they've got any new 17" Peperjacks...
